Not All Classy Critters Are Created Equal

If you've followed me for more than five minutes, you already know this: I will not stop calling out abuse in grooming salons. It’s happening more than anyone wants to admit—and that’s exactly the problem.

That’s why we created a reporting page. That’s why IAPEG is the only organization collecting real data on grooming injuries and abuse. No one else has the guts. We do.
Make a report here. It’s anonymous. It matters.

So here we are again.
Another groomer.
Another salon.
Multiple dogs abused—and this time it was caught on video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6NTw7CCWEs

🎥 Credit to the brave groomer who filmed the abuse and exposed the salon. You deserve all the respect in the world for doing what the salon owner wouldn’t. That’s right—the owner knew and did nothing until the video went viral. Worse—she threatened the whistleblower. That backfired. And honestly? Enough with the “intellectual property” nonsense about photos and videos. Abuse is not a trade secret.

Because of that one courageous action, Kirsten Taylor, former employee of Classy Critters in North Carolina, was arrested.

This is how we make change.
By refusing to stay silent.
By standing up even when it’s hard.
The animals cannot speak. We must be their voice.

But Let’s Talk About What Went Wrong

Now, like many of you, I want this business shut down. Completely. For good.

But here's the issue—and it's a big one:

🛑 There are dozens of grooming salons named “Classy Critters” across the U.S.
And some of them—innocent businesses—were attacked.

One salon owner I know in Illinois got flooded with angry messages, threats, and harassment. Her business? Not connected in any way. Her business was damaged. She was traumatized.
Her crime? Sharing a name.

Come on, groomers. This is not how we win.

We don't threaten people. We don’t harass innocent businesses.
We use facts. We use legal channels. We get organized.
We contact the police, city officials, animal control, and the community to shut the right business down.

Because doing it the wrong way? It causes real harm. And it slows real progress.

So Here's the Deal

  • Speak up. Always.

  • Report abuse. Every time.

  • Stay focused. Be accurate.

  • Don’t turn victims into collateral damage.

We’re here to fix what’s broken in this industry.
And that means doing better—even when we’re angry. Especially when we’re angry.

Let’s get loud. Let’s get smart.
Let’s shut down the right “Classy Critter.”
