  • Yes. Membership is required for certification.

    • Membership is your access point. It includes continuing education and unlocks eligibility for certification tracks.

    • Continuing Education (CE) is skill-building training you can take anytime as a member—no title required. It also helps you meet renewal requirements.

    • Certification Tracks are structured pathways with requirements and assessment. Complete the track and you earn a credential/title.

  • An International Certified Pet Esthetician, or ICPE, is a professional groomer committed to completing the ICPE Master Therapeutic Pet Aesthetician program hosted by the WPGA (the Whole Pet Grooming Academy).

  • You can cancel anytime from your member account/billing portal (the same place you manage upgrades and renewals).
Once canceled, your access remains active through the end of your current billing period, unless otherwise stated at checkout.

  • Enrollment fees are non-refundable. There is no refund on annual membership; please cancel before the renewal date to avoid automatic renewal.

  • To keep your credential active, renew annually with:

    • 10 CEU hours (up to 3 may be haircutting/scissoring; the rest must be in approved topics like skin/coat, behavior, science, sanitation, business, etc.)

    • Current First Aid & CPR (IAPEG, Pet Tech, or Red Cross)

    • Renewal fee

  • You have a 30-day grace period after expiration to submit your CEUs and renewal fee.
After that, your credential becomes inactive and you may need to re-enroll and complete requirements again to regain the title.

  • Not automatically. Trade shows can be great professional development, but IAPEG renewal CEs must come from structured, documented education with clear learning objectives and proof of completion. If you’re unsure whether something qualifies, submit it for review before counting it toward renewal.

  • If your certification expires, you have a 30-day grace period to submit your CEs and renewal fee. After that, your credential becomes inactive, and you may need to re-enroll and complete requirements again to regain the title.
